Denis Manturov visited Sarov on a working trip

During his working visit to Sarov, the First Deputy Prime Minister visited key facilities of the National Center for Physics and Mathematics (NCPM) and the Russian Federal Nuclear Center – All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (RFNC-VNIIEF).
At the ceremony marking the anniversary of the Institute of Experimental Physics, Denis Manturov read a message from the President to the staff and presented state and departmental awards to 14 employees of the Institute.
The head of state noted that the impressive victories and achievements are rooted in the dedicated and heroic work of outstanding scientists, engineers, and specialists.
The educational core of the NCFM is the Sarov branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, established in 2021. University faculty, in collaboration with the Rosatom State Corporation, developed unique postgraduate and master’s programs to train specialists in the promising fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, and supercomputer technologies. By the end of 2025, MSU-Sarov had graduated three cohorts of master’s students, comprising 140 highly qualified physicists and mathematicians, most of whom are already working at strategic enterprises and research organizations across the country.
The First Deputy Prime Minister spoke with students, who discussed their ambitious scientific projects related to the industry and how they combine university studies with practical engineering training at the Federal Nuclear Center.
At a meeting with the heads of federal nuclear organizations and nuclear weapons enterprises, Denis Manturov praised the achievements of the Sarov Nuclear Center and its contribution to strengthening the country’s defense capability.
